My shoulder has been a little sore, so I have slowed down a little.
The guitar body has progressed well, some minor repairs needed from the use of the router. I need to learn to slow down, and be more considerate of the grain direction. I still have alot of sanding ahead to get that perfect shape.
I have started on a set of full size plans, thanks to the help of Luthier’s Edge. I am doing an overlay to design the neck and fretboard. This way, I can use it for assisting in the design guitars in the future.
My repurposed pine is now starting to look more like a guitar. I will get it on the router next week for final shaping. Next stop, buying some harder wood for the neck and fretboard๐ค๐ค๐ค๐คทโโ๏ธ.
Final coat done. Castor wheels will be bought this week, and final drilling of tool holes will completed soonโโ๐ฆพ๐ฆพAhhh, an uncluttered workspace again๐๐
The final coat has gone in the table. I am really happy with the end result. I am going to let it cure for a couple of days an then fit the shelves. I have completed the repair to the chip from the router. Final shaping tomorrow, then maybe cut and shape the actual guitar.
Finally glued up the 2 pieces of pine for my Telecater build.I needed to invest in a couple of F clamps to get a good solid connection over both surfaces. Well worth the investmemt๐๐
The second coat has gone well. After it dries, I am going to give it a really light sand, and apply another very light coat. The gloss is coming through well๐๐
My first real run on the router table. Shaping the outside surface of the Telecaster. It is finally starting to look like a guitar template.๐ค๐ค
I had a small chip come off during the routing. Glueing in a wedge to replace it. Final selection and the initial preperation of the guitar body. This pine has been repurposed from an old dining table๐๐.
